ACS Wins RFID Successful Application Award in 2015 IOT Excellence Awards

Hong Kong, 09 May, 2016 – Advanced Card Systems Ltd. 2015 IOT Excellence Awards recognizes successful enterprises, products and applications in the RFID industry. It was organized by International Internet of Things Business and Application Promotion Association, and sponsored by the prestigious media outlets, “RFID World” and “IOT World,” both under Ulink Media.

The awarding ceremony gathered around 500 excellent enterprises, experts, and RFID terminal user representatives from different sectors of the RFID industry. They reviewed the achievements of RFID industry in the past ten years, looked at the industry development direction, and discussed the development prospects. New technologies, innovative products and various application cases were also exhibited on this annual platform for outstanding enterprises to exchange information and seek cooperation opportunities.

ACS’s entry is its ETC (electronic toll collection) card mobile top up solution for China toll road operators. ETC is an electronic payment system widely promoted to ease the traffic jams in highways. “The award-winning solution allows ETC users who are in Beijing, Anhui and Zhejiang to top up ETC cards at any time and any place with mobile devices and ACS’s mobile card readers, thus eliminating the need for queuing up to reload cards at specified time and place,” says Ken. “This solution brings great flexibility to users.” Its user base is rapidly growing across the country.

ACS to Participate in Smart Card Alliance 2016 Payments Summit

HONG KONG, 1 April, 2016 – Advanced Card Systems Ltd. (ACS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Card Systems Holdings Ltd., SEHK: 2086), Asia Pacific’s top supplier and one of the world’s top 3 suppliers of PC-linked smart card readers (Source: Frost & Sullivan), will be participating in Smart Card Alliance’s 2016 Payments Summit. The event will be on 4 to 7 April 2016, in Loews Royal Pacific, Orlando, Florida, USA.

The four-day event will feature plenary and general sessions on a wide range of topics, including EMV and mobile payments, transit payments, and FinTech (Financial Technology). Bob Merkert, ACS’s President for the Americas, will moderate a discussion section, entitiled “Payment Cards and Devices”. ACS will also be showcasing its payment products. These include: ACR123, an interactive contactless reader that can be integrated into existing POS systems to enable cashless payment; ACR1255, a smart card reader that combines NFC and Bluetooth technologies; and ACR890, a mobile smart card terminal that combines magnetic stripe, contact, and contactless technologies.

ACS to Withdraw from Cartes Secure Connexions 2015

HONG KONG, 16 November, 2015 – Advanced Card Systems Ltd. (ACS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Card Systems Holdings Ltd., SEHK: 2086), Asia Pacific’s top supplier and one of the world’s top 3 suppliers of PC-linked smart card readers (Source: Frost & Sullivan), is regretfully withdrawing its participation in Cartes Secure Connexions 2015 from 17 to 19 November 2015.

In light of the security concerns posed by the tragic attacks to Paris last 13 November, ACS has decided to no longer send its representatives to the event. The company, however, commiserates with Paris and victims of terrorism across the globe. Moreover, the company hopes for the safety of all participants and the success of Cartes 2015.

ACS an Exhibitor and Speaker in Cartes Secure Connexions 2015

Cartes 2015-1HONG KONG, 12 November, 2015 – Advanced Card Systems Ltd. The event will be on 17 to 19 November, 2015, in Halls 3 and 4 of Paris Nord Villepinte France. ACS will be in Hall 4 Booth L 053.

Cartes Secure Connexions will convene industry players from different parts of the world. It will feature 13 conference sessions covering contactless payments, biometrics and e-ID, privacy protection, and cashless payments. Michael Chan, ACS Assistant Product Marketing Manager, will present a talk entitled, “EMV Migration: a Smart Bet for the Banking Sector.” The talk will be on 17 November, as part of the conference session entitled, “EMV, the Best Way to Reduce Fraud?”
