ACS an Exhibitor in WIMA NFC USA 2012

WIMA NFCHONG KONG, 22 Nov, 2012 — Advanced Card Systems Ltd. (ACS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Card Systems Holdings Ltd., SEHK: 8210), Asia Pacific’s top supplier and one of the world’s top 3 suppliers of PC-linked smart card readers (Source: Frost & Sullivan) will be presenting its contactless readers in the WIMA NFC 2012. The event will be on Nov 27 to 29, at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront Hotel.

ACS will be located in Booth 18. ACS devices that will be on display include the ACR1251U, a CCID-compliant reader that supports read/write operations, card emulation and P2P communication; the ACR123, an EMV level 1–certified terminal for MasterCard Paypass and Visa PayWave contactless payment applications; and the ACR1222U-J4, a standalone reader that can send customized URLs and coupons to mobile phones to promote products, events or services. The ACR1222U-J4 was a finalist for the hardware category in the 2012 Sesames Awards.

ACS is also planning to exhibit two components of its automated fare collection (AFC) solution: the ACR320, a ticket validator for all forms of public transport, and the ACR301B, a bus validator. Both support cards compliant to the NFC standard, among others.

The WIMA NFC aims to discuss the state of the NFC market. There will be talks, workshops for developers, and contests with the tracks, “best ready for market solution” and “best emerging NFC application.” For more information on WIMA NFC, click here.
