ACS an Exhibitor in Smart Card Alliance’s 11th Annual Government Conference

HONG KONG, 22 Nov, 2012 — Advanced Card Systems Ltd. (ACS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Card Systems Holdings Ltd., SEHK: 8210), Asia Pacific’s top supplier and one of the world’s top 3 suppliers of PC-linked smart card readers (Source: Frost & Sullivan) will be presenting its e-government and e-ID solutions in Smart Card Alliance’s (SCA’s) annual government conference. Entitled, Smart Strategies for Secure Identity, this year’s conference will be on Nov 28 to 29, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, DC. ACS will be in Booth 316.

ACS has significant experience in providing solutions to governments, especially in Europe and Asia. ACS’s ACR38 was chosen by different European governments for their national e-ID systems. It has also been used to help centralize national records. Meanwhile, ACS smart cards and readers have been used in Asia to secure high-risk online banking transactions, enable collaboration between the private and public sector in delivering healthcare services, and authenticate the identity of immigrants / emigrants at borders in order to reduce hassles. During the 2008 Beijing Olympics, ACS smart cards and smart card readers were used to verify the identities of Olympians, guests and VIPs. These are only a few examples, and ACS hopes to give conference attendees a more comprehensive view of the capabilities of its devices during the event.

There will be presentations on mobile devices, mobile applications and NFC, among others. To learn more about the SCA conference, click on the banner below.
